merge garden

the merge garden is asking for two sets of gold utensils. i have those items but it is not recognizing them so i cannot complete the task. it is not marking them with a green check nor is it moving to indicate my items are complete and ready to turn in.

It's because you are asked for 2 items of the previous stage, the one without the glittering. If you unmerge one of the items you've got in your garden, you will have the 2 items requested. If you don't unmerge them, you need to start from the beginning to make them.
