Unfortunately no, still no notification box, just the outlined white dot.

Strange, I was not able to see the dot. Do you have a screenshot of the box?

I will happily screen shot the dot when it comes up again providing I can get back into the game.

Finally had the dot show up, nobody apparently had achieved anything since!

I just see the dot, do not get the text anymore telling me who achieved what.

The same thing happens for me. I have wondered about that dot and meant to ask but I keep forgetting...old age lol
