Great news. We have lots of new accessories and hairstyles. Nearly all of them can be bought with bracelets. I have a completely new look LOL

How do I unlock the hair styles and other accessories for my avatar?

Go to the Hut (right-hand side of the World Tree). Click on it and this will open up your Avatar. At the bottom, you click on change avatar. Above the Avatars head, you will see scissors and a coat hanger and a bow. These are for hairstyles, clothing and accessories. Look through them. You can try on the clothes etc. Under each hairstyle, dress etc you will see the cost. It will be in bracelets or water lilies. When you have bought the items you like make sure you press save. The bracelets are given to you everytime you click on plants in a friends garden.

The word "unlock" may be inappropriate, it looks more like "buy", if you click on it, you will see that it will show "really purchase ?"
It's like a kind of security, not to buy costumes / hairstyles / items at the first click. It allows players to not make mistakes.
So, to answer your question "how to unlock costumes and others", there is no blocking. All explanations were given (above) by Pet Dragon ..

To unlock some items, there is a prerequisite, own a certain amount of bracelet.
Having the quantity you need is enough to unlock what you want to buy.
Example, for this dress, if you have 25 000 bracelets, you can buy the dress for 1 100 bracelets.
