My state takes up most of the western coastline of the country.
It has a lot of earthquakes.
It is famous for food and wine.

Nestled in the hills of the Texas Hill Country, Kerrville is best known for its beautiful parks that line the Guadalupe River, which runs directly through the city.
Texas comes from the Hasinai Indian word tejas meaning friends or allies.
The US is the 4th largest country in the world by land area and 3rd by population.

Where I live it is desert and because it is high in altitude it is also cold. So the wind is always blowing thru and we get Santa Ann Winds which are hot and cause fires.
My County is San Bernardino and we pay an extra fire fee to live in the county. The state is California and the closest City is Apple Valley. It was a very popular area for Hollywood stars like Roy Rodgers to come and live up here to be away from LA.

There are two rivers runing trough my town Karlovac (Croatia), rivers Korana and Kupa and two more nearby, rivers Dobra and Mrežnica.
Karlovac was built in 1579. as six pointed star fortress as protection against the Ottoman Empire.
It was originaly known as Karlstadt after the ruling family at that time and we celebrate its "birthday" on July 13.

The country I live in is a tropical archipelago.
It gets noticed on the world stage for all the wrong reasons - natural disasters, questionable politics, etc.
It gets labeled as religious but is actually surprisingly progressive for a 'third world country'.
