Lions are the only cats that live in groups, called prides. Prides are family units that may include up to three males, a dozen or so females, and their young. All of a pride's lionesses are related, and female cubs typically stay with the group as they age. Young males eventually leave and establish their own prides by taking over a group headed by another male.
Only male lions boast manes, the impressive fringe of long hair that encircles their heads. Males defend the pride's territory, which may include some 100 square miles of grasslands, scrub, or open woodlands. These intimidating animals mark the area with urine, roar menacingly to warn intruders, and chase off animals that encroach on their turf. They are native to Africa

quokka

The quokka (/ˈkwɒkə/, Setonix brachyurus), the only member of the genus Setonix, is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as kangaroos and wallabies), the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal.
Quokkas are found on some smaller islands off the coast of Western Australia, Rottnest Island just off Perth and Bald Island near Albany and in isolated scattered populations in forest and coastal heath between Perth and Albany.

Rattlesnakes

When you think 'rattlesnake' your mind probably goes straight to the American Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, etc.) but rattlesnakes are actually found up and down the Americas, all the way from Canada to Argentina. Most species prefer open, rocky spaces where they can bask in the sun.

Siberian Tiger is a large subspecies of tiger, found throughout western and central Asia. The Siberian tiger is the largest species of tiger in the world. The Siberian tiger was once found across central and western Asia and throughout Russia, but conflict and deforestation has made the Siberian tiger extinct in much of its native habitat. The Siberian tiger's range is restricted to parts of eastern Siberia where it is now a protected species.

Today, due to habitat loss caused by deforestation, and hunting by human poachers, the Siberian tiger is considered to be an endangered species. Despite being the largest of all the tiger species, there are thought to be less than 500 Siberian tigers left in the wild.

The umbrella bird lives in rainforests of Central and South America. There are three species of umbrella birds, all of which have umbrella-like crests on their heads. These birds spend most of their lives hopping among tree branches and consuming fruit of tropical trees. Snakes and monkeys prey upon umbrella birds.
