For a girl, I like Erika. It is in the family and I just like the name.
For a boy, I like Jade. My son is Jason D. I would always call him Jay Dee or Jade when he was growing up. The family didn't care for Jade so he is Jason.

I love the name Vanessa Claire for a girl. Unfortunately, my daughter's father didn't like it, so, I chose Adrienne Rose. He said it would be okay as long as I didn't call her Andrea. Um, not a problem. I've called her lots of things, but, never Andrea.
My choice for my 1st son was Patrick Seth. However, he ended up being named Charles Patrick because it was a tradition in my husband's family to name all the boys Charles and call them by their middle name. I didn't follow that tradition with my 2nd and 3rd sons, Cory Lyle and Daniel Joel.
I love my children and I'm happy with their names.

for a girl i always loved the name Rebecca. not shortened to becca or becky, just the name Rebecca. and i can't even give a reason why. it just feels right in my heart. if i ever had a girl, that is what her name would have been. i actually bought a doll named Rebecca and she is displayed in my grandmother's display cabinet. she is adorable and i like to think that my daughter, had i ever bore one, would have been as cute.

for a boy, both of mine have equally loved names. Matthew and Nathan. each of these boy's names mean Gift of or Gift from God. and even though they will be the death of me, i see them both as the most precious gifts i could ever have received. the names are perfect. i am glad that there were two names out there to describe exactly the way i felt about my children.
